Several consumers had in particular been sanctioned after being checked by the police in Orléans at the exit of the tram when the device was launched in the department.

Some were in possession of or using small amounts of cannabis resin.

A fine of up to 450 euros

According to the prosecution of Orléans and Montargis, at the origin of the figures communicated, this "new tool takes its place within the framework of a global action".

It is also a tool in the fight against various levels of drug trafficking, from “street deals” to “criminal networks”.

This fixed fine initially amounts to 200 euros.

However, it goes to 150 euros if it can be paid within 15 days.

On the other hand, the fine is increased to 450 euros if it has not been paid 45 days after the verbalization.
