More fear than harm and no injuries recorded in the incident.
A plane of the American company Delta Airlines had to make an emergency landing this Sunday in Athens (Greece), at Eleftherios Venizelos airport.
The machine carrying 248 people had taken off from the airport in Atlanta, United States.
Initial reports indicated that the aircraft's brake system, an Airbus A333, was having problems.
No injuries
Arriving near Athens, the pilot of the plane therefore asked the airport control tower to land urgently.
It was then above the Greek island of Aegina, according to the Greek firefighters mobilized to manage and supervise the descent of the passengers.
The emergency medical services and firefighters were thus on the tarmac when the plane made an emergency landing, to help the passengers.
Fortunately, no injuries were recorded and no one required care.
