The European political families to which the Liberals, Greens and Social Democrats belong were quick to congratulate them on their scores, but all these political families recognize that it will now be necessary to transform the test.

Olaf Scholz's assurances on Germany's stability can only reassure Europeans;

but the main concern here is not the choice of a coalition with his Social Democratic Party or with the Christian Democrats heirs to Angela Merkel, except for their disagreement on the common debt of the EU.

For the Europeans, the question, this Monday, September 27, relates to the choices of the Greens and the Liberals who appear to them to both be present in the future coalition.

The European Commission has established the fight against climate change as its top priority and could count on support from the Greens to advance its proposals.

Questions about the Liberals

Europeans are asking themselves many questions about the balance with the liberals;

their leader, Christian Lindner, targets the Ministry of Finance.

This scenario worries countries (France, Spain, Italy for example) wishing to reform the stability pact which restricts their public spending because the liberals of the FDP are opposed to it, as well as to the mutualisation of the debt put in place. with the stimulus plan.

Some European countries have already started to prepare for the post-Merkel period to ensure the stability of the EU, for example with the establishment of regular consultations between the Netherlands and France.
