"The reasons for the automatic operation are being investigated," TASS reports.
It is noted that no violations of the limits and conditions of safe operation have been identified; three power units are currently in operation.
"The radiation background in the area of the nuclear power plant and the adjacent territory is at a level corresponding to the normal operation of power units and does not exceed natural background values," added Rosenergoatom.
On September 20, it was reported that the Rostov NPP had started the average scheduled preventive maintenance at the power unit No. 1.
