On the main square of the village, the coffin in which is locked the lifeless body of Amobé Mévégué and on which his close relatives, as well as his wife Coumba Sow, watch is exposed to the sight of the thousand people who made the trip to Nkolbogo.
In the crowd, all are incredulous like Marie-Roger Biloa, a great friend of the deceased, who came from Paris to pay him a last tribute: "
I do not understand and I only tell myself that it is not because you don't understand something you shouldn't accept.
The facts are in front of us.
We're at a funeral, his funeral.
He's off to a good start
”
.
"
Appreciated, recognized, admired
"
The homily ended, the testimonies are linked.
Cameroon, Africa, the world has just lost an exceptional man, a man of the media, but not only, viscerally attached to Africa whose culture he has sublimated all his life.
“
He is a big brother whose action we will not qualify because it is immense.
Moreover, it is not even up to Cameroon.
He was appreciated, recognized, admired, a source of inspiration, ”
said one of the people present.
Thus ended the hectic life of this goldsmith of words in this village of Nkolbogo where he wished to rest for eternity with his family.
