"The period of validity of restrictive measures in the Republic of Kalmykia has been extended until October 24, 2021," according to the official website of the head of the Republic of Kalmykia.
The ban on the holding of entertainment, cultural, business and other mass events continues to apply, provided that citizens attend more than 75% of the total capacity of the event venue at the same time.
Precautions in public areas also remain in place in the region: wearing personal protective equipment and maintaining social distance.
In July, the head of Kalmykia, Batu Khasikov, was vaccinated against coronavirus infection.
