A 24-year-old man from Taiwan suffers from myocarditis after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine and has a heart attack for 5 days to save his life

Overseas Network, September 26. A rare case occurred recently in Taichung City, Taiwan: A 24-year-old man developed side effects such as myocarditis after being vaccinated with AstraZeneca. He was even critically ill due to heart failure at one time.

Fortunately, the patient gradually recovered after 5 consecutive days of cardiotonic injection.

According to Taiwan’s “Lianhe News” report, Taichung Rong’s vice president and cardiologist Fu Yunqing pointed out that the current new crown vaccine has a very small probability of causing myocarditis, and this male patient is only 24 years old, which is indeed very rare.

After being vaccinated on the 9th, the patient developed fever, chest tightness and decreased physical strength the next day.

On the 11th, the patient came to Taichung Rong General Hospital for treatment because his symptoms did not improve.

The examination revealed that his myocardial enzymes were elevated, he was inflamed, and he developed heart failure. He was admitted to the intensive care unit immediately.

Fu Yunqing pointed out that the mortality rate of myocarditis caused by general viruses is one-third to one-quarter, but myocarditis caused by vaccines is mostly caused by a strong immune response.

Myocarditis can also cause chest tightness, chest pain, palpitations, arrhythmia, fainting, shortness of breath and other symptoms. If you have these symptoms after the new crown vaccine, the patient is best to go directly to a large hospital.
