The Yemeni army said that dozens of Houthi militants were killed and wounded in battles with it and the popular resistance in southern Ma’rib governorate after the Houthis took control of the Harib district, while the Saudi-led coalition said it had intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis towards the kingdom, and also destroyed a Houthi site in northern Yemen from which drones were launched booby-trapped.

The army's media center stated that the artillery of its forces and coalition warplanes destroyed 10 Houthi military vehicles during the raging battles in Marib, while it did not say whether there were any casualties among the army.

Ansar Allah group (Houthis) sources said that the coalition warplanes launched 12 raids on sites in the southern governorates of Ma'rib, Al-Jawf and Saada, without mentioning the results of those raids.

The Houthis have been trying for months to take control of the strategic and oil-rich Ma’rib governorate, which is the last stronghold of government forces in northern Yemen. The first party was 93, while the government forces were close to 51.

On the other hand, the official television quoted the coalition led by Riyadh - Saturday - that it destroyed a ballistic missile of the Houthis, which was launched towards the city of Najran, in the southwest of the Kingdom.

Earlier today, the coalition announced the interception and destruction of two booby-trapped drones launched by the Houthi group towards Saudi Arabia.

And the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Saturday that the coalition destroyed a Houthi military site in Al-Jawf Governorate, which it said was used to launch explosive-laden drones, and the coalition statement added that the targeting process included the launch pad, drones, support vehicles and operators, without other details.

There was no comment from the Houthis on this matter.

The Saudi-led military coalition has intervened in the Yemeni crisis since 2015 to support the forces of the government of President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, against the Iran-aligned Houthis.

In the city of Taiz in southern Yemen, a demonstration took place in protest against the poor economic conditions and the poor basic services. The protesters demanded the dismissal of the governor of Taiz, Nabil Shamsan, the accountability of spoilers in the local authority, and a halt to the increasing deterioration of the Yemeni riyal against foreign currencies.

The participants in the demonstration called for the rapid disbursement of employees' salaries, the reduction of prices, and the improvement of the living conditions of citizens.

It is noteworthy that Yemen has been witnessing a war for about 7 years that has killed more than 233,000 people, and 80% of the population - numbering about 30 million people - has become dependent on support and aid, in the worst humanitarian crisis in the world, according to the words of the United Nations.
