September 25, 2021The Global Citizen Live has begun, a mega 24-hour concert in Paris, New York, London, Rio de Janeiro, Seoul and other cities to raise people's awareness of climate change, for equal access to anti-Covid vaccines and for the end of world hunger.

"The artists perform on six continents thus making a contribution in calling for governments, large companies and philanthropists to work together to defend the planet," explains the NGO Global Citizen.



The event is attended by, among others, Elton John, Bts, Billie Eilish and Coldplay, Metallica and Stevie Wonder. Italy is represented by Andrea Bocelli, but also by the very young and now unstoppable Måneskin. Global Citizen aims to plant a billion trees and get the poorest countries a billion vaccines.



Draghi: young people will ask themselves why no stop climate change


The new generations "will ask themselves a simple question: why didn't their parents act earlier to stop climate change?".

Prime Minister Mario Draghi said this in a video broadcast on Global Citizen Live.

The video, broadcast worldwide at the event that will last 24 hours, was also attended by the President of the EU Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, the Speaker of the US Chamber, Nancy Pelosi, and the Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez.
