Parents who apply for a preschool place for their children at Hasslö are today rejected.
Applications until May have been rejected - and there is still no answer as to when the queuing children can get a place at Hasslös only preschool.
- We are not able to pick up the children who are in line.
We now have 12 children who want a place until May 2022 and I do not currently see those children having more places, says Solvig Ohlsson, operations manager for the preschools in Karlskrona municipality.
Looking at alternative solutions
The children will instead be offered a preschool place in other places in the municipality.
- We talk to the parents to find alternative solutions.
Then we are in the process of looking at whether we can in some way dispose of premises that school and preschool have on Hasslö, to perhaps arrange a few more places.
I have no idea if we will succeed, but it is one of the measures we are looking at now.
Nättraby and several preschools on Trossö also have problems with long preschool queues, but the municipality is reluctant to make large investments in premises because the children's groups vary from year to year.
