25 September 2021 "We are ready to give space and a voice to the Afghan women who are here with us, for a battle for freedom". Thus began in Piazza del Popolo in Rome the demonstration "Today more than ever #Nonlasciamolesole", an initiative "born from an assembly of women, with no one behind, an initiative born from below".

From Rome to Milan, from Venice to Bari, from Lecce to Olbia there are many squares that host Italian women who came alongside Afghan women, with the support of associations, movements and trade unions, united by the words - which have become a hashtag - "Tull Quadze "which in Pashto means" All women ".

Organized by

the Magnolia Assembly

, born from an offshoot of the International Women's House in full pandemic, and supported by numerous associations, the event wants to turn the spotlight on Afghan women - and not only - because thanks also to the pressure of the international community they are allowed to participate in life politics, access to work and education, do not give up on the achievements of the last twenty years.

Some Afghan women will go up on stage, along with many others, to remind us that "The care revolution is a whole other story!".

Also in the square were the militants of the Pangea foundation, with the letter "P" drawn on their hand, 'the "same P that in the dramatic days of the taking of the Taliban became a symbol: the pass to freedom drawn on the hand of many women and men crowded at the airport ". "For all and all of them, from the stage we ask - explained the organizers - that women's rights are not a subject for negotiation or go backwards compared to what had been achieved in Afghanistan: education, work and the possibility of demonstrating for all and all; that women can participate in political life and be at international tables on peace mediation processes for Afghanistan as required by UN resolution 1325 on Women Peace and Security;a permanent observatory on women's rights in Afghanistan, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and at the UN, to monitor the condition of women and intervene on violations; an extraordinary humanitarian evacuation plan for those who want to leave the country, with particular attention to women who have greater difficulty in finding safe escape routes; a reception plan in Italy for asylum seekers that respects gender issues and takes into account the stories of violence experienced by women in the countries of origin, during transit and on arrival ".with particular attention to women who have greater difficulty in finding escape routes in a protected manner; a reception plan in Italy for asylum seekers that respects gender issues and takes into account the stories of violence experienced by women in the countries of origin, during transit and on arrival ".with particular attention to women who have greater difficulty in finding escape routes in a protected manner; a reception plan in Italy for asylum seekers that respects gender issues and takes into account the stories of violence experienced by women in the countries of origin, during transit and on arrival ".
