One cord to charge the cell phone, another for the headphones and then a third for the digital camera? Yes, it is easy to recognize oneself in. But soon that may change. The European Commission wants USB c connectors to become the general standard for charging mobile phones and other electronics. - It is partly for concern for the environment, but they also say that it is for us consumers, says Alexander Norén in Morgonstudion.
The proposal means that a USB c connector will be required on all new mobile phones, tablets, digital cameras, headphones and portable speakers.
Several manufacturers already have USB C connectors as standard - but not Apple, which so far has mostly stuck to its own Lightning connector.
- Apple feels that they have lost, says Alexaner Norén in Morgonstudion.
