HV71 and AIK have together arranged a quiet minute before the drop in tonight's match in the hockey allsvenskan in Jönköping.

The minute of silence was held before the drop-off at 18.00.

This is to show respect to the deceased and their families, writes AIK Hockey on its website.

On Thursday evening, four teenagers from Jönköping County traveled in a small car towards Kalmar to watch a football match between AIK and Kalmar.

After a overtaking just before a sharp curve, the car drove into a road barrier and then came out on the oncoming lane and collided head-on.

Three of the teenagers lost their lives after the accident.

Several sports associations express grief

After the accident occurred, AIK, Vetlanda Bandyklubb, IFK Vänersborg and Svensk Elitbandy, among others, have shown support in several different ways, not least in social media.

Norra Ståplats - AIK Stockholm has shared a picture of AIK supporters, holding up a banner, where they honor the deceased boys.

IFK Vänersborg has uploaded a picture where ice hockey players stand and hold a minute of silence for the teenagers.
