The greatest chefs of France are expected in Lyon this weekend to participate in Sirha, the international catering, hotel and food trade fair.

On the sidelines of the grand finale of the Bocuse d'Or, a competition which will pit the best chefs in the world against Sunday and Monday, 130 star-studded hats will gather around a meal, as tradition dictates.

It will be held on Sunday evening.

This year, the festivities will not take place at the Town Hall but at the Rhône Prefecture, in the presence, for the very first time, of the President of the Republic.

An event that will not be without consequences.

The neighborhood will be cordoned off for security reasons.

Parking and traffic prohibited

On Sunday, parking around the prefecture will be prohibited from 6 a.m. and traffic from 3 p.m.

The measure will remain in effect until Monday morning, 11 a.m.

Cyclists and two-wheelers will not escape the rule.

They too will be asked to park elsewhere.

Pedestrians will also be kept at a distance.

It is strongly recommended that residents bring an identity document and proof of address when traveling in the area during this period.

Finally, some public transport lines will also be impacted.

The T1 tram, the C9, C1, C4 and C5 bus lines will have their routes modified.
