Sports Day is part of the EU initiative "European Week of Sport" which wants to arouse the interest of children to start with some sport.

- It is about putting children's right to physical activity on the agenda, so today we let the children move.

It is 120 minutes of physical activity that takes place both here in Söderköping, all over Sweden, and also in other EU countries, says Ida Kregert Blomstrand, coordinator for Movement Investment in schools at RF-SISU Östergötland.

In Östergötland, about 30 schools were registered and over 8,000 children had the chance to try out different sports and activities.
