June 11, 2020 opened the doors to the unique five-hectare village for the first time.

Up to 120 people who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's or a related disease now live here.

They are part of an experiment where all the residents get to live just as usual.

In Dax there is now a hair salon, restaurant and a grocery store that they can visit daily - just like before.

In each house there are two housewives and there are seven people living in each house.



The cost of accommodation varies depending on income, but is between 250 and 1,900 euros.
