China News Service, September 24, reported that the special committee of the US House of Representatives responsible for investigating the congressional riots on January 6 said on the 23rd that the committee had subpoenaed four former members of the Trump administration, including Mark Meadows and Shi Steve Bannon.

On January 6, local time, the joint meeting of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives to confirm the results of the Electoral College vote was interrupted due to large-scale riots caused by the intrusion of supporters of then President Trump into the Capitol. The scene was extremely chaotic.

  According to reports, former congressman Meadows served as the White House chief of staff of the Trump administration, and Bannon was an adviser to Trump.

  "You have been confirmed to be present at the Willard Hotel on January 5, 2021, trying to persuade members of Congress to block the election certification the next day, and other activities on January 6," the special committee in a letter to Bannon Write.

  "You are also believed to communicate with then President Trump on December 30, 2020 and possibly other occasions, urging him to prepare and concentrate on January 6."

  The Special Committee also summoned Dan Skavino, the former Deputy Chief of Staff of the White House, and Kashyap Patel, a former Defense Department official, and asked them to provide materials and testify in court.

  According to the report, the letter to everyone listed reasons why the committee suspected their involvement in the riots.

All four were required to testify in court in mid-October.

  On January 6 this year, while the Congress was counting the electoral votes for the presidential election, supporters of former U.S. President Trump violently stormed Congress, killing at least five people.

This incident is the worst attack that Congress has suffered in nearly 200 years.

Since then, the House of Representatives impeached Trump on charges of sedition, but the Senate acquitted Trump.

On June 30, the House of Representatives voted to establish a special committee to investigate the January 6th Capitol riots.
