Democratic presidential candidates will face off in a TV debate co-planned by eight terrestrial broadcasters in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam in the afternoon.

This debate will be held on the 2nd of next month ahead of the regional elections in Bu/Ul/Gyeong, and will be followed by introduction of regional promises and free discussion.

In today's (24th) debate, a fierce battle between candidates is expected over the suspicion of preferential treatment for the Daejang-dong development project.

Candidate Lee Nak-yeon, who is currently ranked first in the approval rating, has expressed a position that verification is necessary even for strengthening competitiveness in the finals. Since they have expressed a similar position, it seems that the battle for the candidates will be fierce.

Prior to the debate, Candidate Jae-myung Lee announces a pledge tailored to the Bu, Ul and Gyeonggi regions at the Gyeongnam Provincial Assembly, and Nak-yeon Lee, the former representative, also attends a declaration of support held at the Busan City Council and holds a press conference to announce the Busan pledge.
