During the day, the royal couple will meet, among others, representatives from the Uppsala Region and the University Hospital to talk about the work during the pandemic.
Among the program items is also a visit to the Academic Laboratory, where the royal couple will follow a corona test from the time it arrives until a test result can be reported.
Meets the university's rector
Lunch is eaten at Uppsala Castle and after that the royal couple will visit the university and meet Rector Anders Hagfeldt.
Afterwards, the King and Queen will meet the researchers behind the Crush covid project, representatives from Uppsala's cultural life and from the business world.
The visit to Uppsala ends in Old Uppsala Church at 5 pm.
