It will already be a little Christmas on Saturday in Strasbourg.

Eight months after being dismantled from Place Kléber, the famous large Christmas tree will be distributed in small pieces.

Its trunk more precisely, which marks the culmination of an unprecedented project that we had already told you about last January.

In total, 300 claves, these wooden musical instruments that collide to form a sound, will be given to… 300 spectators of a concert by the Omédoc ensemble.

"They'll be given to them during the show and maybe use them."

It's a surprise !

», Explains Elise Ternat, of the Musica festival which organizes the event.

A gift in advance

Since the start of the operation, the trunk has therefore been cut, before being transformed into boards by a portable sawmill in February.

Then the enlightened workshops of the Coop, still in Strasbourg, finished the work.

The claves have finally been engraved with a small Musica logo.

"We see it as a little Christmas present in advance", summarizes the secretary of the festival of contemporary and experimental music.

The concert, logically entitled "It smells of the tree", is aimed at a family audience.

It is scheduled this Saturday at 5 p.m. at the Citadel Lighthouse.
