The police have not yet arrested anyone suspected of Wednesday night's shooting in Oxhagen.
An 18-year-old man is said to have been shot in the leg.
His injuries are judged to be minor.
- We have initiated a preliminary investigation regarding attempted murder and serious gun crime, says police spokesman Robert Loeffel to SVT Nyheter Småland.
Looking for two men on a moped
The police have worked with a technical investigation at the site, and knocked on a door in the area and searched the immediate area with dogs and a helicopter.
- We are looking for two men, who reportedly traveled on a moped.
And our suspicion is that at least one of them has used weapons against the injured person, says Robert Loeffel.
No perpetrator has yet been arrested, nor has any suspect.
The police do not want to go into what motive the act may have.
- We discuss this internally, and never go out with it.
But it is an important part, which we will talk to the victim about, says Robert Loeffel.
No coincidence
Robert Loeffel says he has no information on whether the gunshot wounded man is known to the police since before, but at the same time says that the shooting was probably not a coincidence.
- Considering previous shootings, those who carry it out usually have a very clear and distinct picture of who they are looking for.
It is usually not something random, says Robert Loeffel.
