She has called them "outer edge parties".

Annie Lööf has been clear that the Center Party will not cooperate with the Left Party or the Sweden Democrats.

In her speech at the C-meeting, she extended a hand to both government parties and the former Alliance colleagues.

She called her party the party that can imagine cooperating with the most:

- We need to choose another path.

A path to more cooperation and trust.

A road with more parties in the political center.

Which creates long-term, clarity and faith in the future.

End the civil war that has raged for far too long and created completely unnecessary crises.

"Democratic society is threatened"

Annie Lööf referred to democracy when she said that the Center Party needs to raise its voice in the EU:

- We live in a time when the liberal, open and democratic society is threatened by violent extremism, by foreign states that try to influence our choices, or mistrust in our society.

Authoritarian leaders who inspire political forces at home

- One of our most important tasks is to be a counterforce to all this.

"One billion more per year than the government"

In November, the Social Democrats will elect a new party leader.

In order for that person to also become Prime Minister, support from the Center Party is required.

Before that, the Social Democrats will present a budget, which also needs support from the Center Party.

In his speech, Lööf emphasized an issue where the Center Party thinks that the government is doing too little:

- We contribute one billion more per year than the government to the rural development program.

That we spend a total of almost 400 million more on better maintenance of individual roads, better road lighting in rural areas and on ensuring that our smallest roads around the country are better plowed during the winter.

We also want to see 300 million a year to get more ambulances in the countryside and shorten the response time.
