The man is previously known to the police.

He has been convicted of, among other things, aggravated theft, drunk driving, violation of the knife law, aggravated illegal driving and drug offenses.

In addition, he is considered by the police to be a leading person in a criminal network in Eskilstuna.

After he was arrested, there was a wave of car fires throughout Eskilstuna, something that the police suspected could be a kind of revenge for the arrest.

Stuck on picture

In addition to the witness statements from the night of the shooting, there is a number of other pieces of evidence which, according to the prosecutor, point out the 35-year-old as the perpetrator.

There are several surveillance videos that place him in the area, both just before the shooting but also fleeing the scene afterwards.

One of the films comes from a secret camera surveillance in another case, but which was handed over to the police investigation.

Denies crime

An investigation of the 35-year-old's phone has also shown that he was at the crime scene.

The police have found the same kind of ignition particles on the man's hands and clothes as on the cartridges found at the scene, which according to the prosecutor shows that he has handled the weapon.

The 35-year-old denies the crime.
