“During a meeting with my friend with Recep Erdogan, we discussed the entire spectrum of cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey - from a free trade zone to military-technical cooperation,” Zelensky said on his Twitter.

According to him, bilateral relations "are becoming more concrete and filled with practical projects."

According to the office of the Ukrainian leader, Zelensky thanked Erdogan "for his firm position on the non-recognition of the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation", expressed during a speech at a session of the UN General Assembly.

He also expressed gratitude for the support of the Crimean Platform.

Earlier, Erdogan said that Turkey considers it necessary to preserve the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Prior to this, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that the results of the elections to the State Duma in relation to Crimea have no legal force for Ankara.

The Kremlin stressed that they do not accept such statements and openly talk about it to their colleagues.

Crimea became a Russian region after a referendum was held there in March 2014 - the majority of residents were in favor of reunification with Russia.
