"With respect to the compensation for damage caused by wildlife, not only by wild boars, I believe we must make a reasoning in the budget law to increase the possibility of compensation for those who have damage from wildlife", said Minister Patuanelli when asked at Question time. with reference to compensation for damage caused by wild boars, recalling that the EU legislation today provides for compensation only within the de minimis ceilings of 25 thousand euros in the three-year period per company, "not sufficient" according to the owner of the agricultural policies.
On the problem of the containment of wild boars, Patuanelli said that it would be enough to apply existing rules such as those for
which "the Regions can provide for the containment of wild boars with selective collection plans without time limits as required by law".
