The Russian Ministry of Health has released the 12th version of the temporary guidelines for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

The document was prepared by leading Russian experts taking into account the accumulated scientific data.

It has updated sections on laboratory diagnostics of COVID-19, radiation diagnostics, as well as sections defining treatment tactics, including the management of pregnant women.

In particular, the section "Pathogenetic treatment" has been completely revised - the criteria and timing of prescribing genetically engineered biological drugs, the specifics of prescribing anticoagulants, has been added, information on possible drug combinations has been added.

“New outpatient treatment regimens have been included that include budesonide for mild patients.

For patients with a moderate course of the disease, a scheme with Janus-kinene inhibitors (baricitinib and tofacitinib) was introduced.

The drug umifenovir has been excluded from the treatment regimen for patients with risk factors with a mild course of the disease in a hospital setting, ”the statement says.

At the same time, the treatment regimens for patients with moderate and severe forms of infection have been revised - etiotropic therapy has been optimized towards the use of more effective approaches (remdesivir, human immunoglobulin against COVID-19).

In addition, a new section has appeared in the recommendations - "Antimycotic therapy", which reflects the features of the treatment of invasive aspergillosis and invasive candidiasis in patients with COVID-19.

“In the course of work on each of the versions of the guidelines, the working group, which includes more than 100 Russian experts of various specialties, is conducting a thorough analysis of a set of data on research results and experience in the use of drugs.

According to the results of the analysis, promising and sufficiently studied drugs are approved for use, and drugs that have shown relatively low efficiency are excluded from the list of recommended ones, ”the RF Ministry of Health emphasized.

The Ministry of Health indicated that the new version of the guidelines has been sent to the regions for practical application.

"There is an intensive increase in the incidence"

Over the past day, 19,706 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Russia.

More than 500 new episodes of the disease were recorded in Moscow (1991), St. Petersburg (1521), Moscow (986), Samara (531) and Sverdlovsk (515) regions.

During this time, 16 102 people recovered, 817 patients died.

The total number of COVID-19 cases registered in the country reached 7,333,557. In total, 6,542,213 patients recovered in Russia, 200,625 people died from complications due to coronavirus infection and concomitant diseases.

According to Rospotrebnadzor, over 187.7 million laboratory tests for a new coronavirus infection have been carried out in the country, more than 1.16 million people remain under medical supervision.

In Russia, there is an intensive increase in the incidence of COVID-19, said the chief sanitary doctor of the Russian Federation Anna Popova in an interview with the NTV channel.

“We are seeing growth for the first time in eight weeks.

The ninth week gives rise, and immediately by 6.8%.

That is, the growth is intense.

If last week we said that we have only 11 subjects in the growth phase, then last week added another 25 to them, and now 36 subjects are in the growth phase, ”she said.

According to her, the rise in the incidence of COVID-19 is due to the seasonal increase in the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections.

“There is a very clear correlation: the more grafted in the region, the less the growth rate.

Of course, it also depends on when people were vaccinated.

If I got the second vaccination today, then I will be protected only after 21 days, ”explained the head of Rospotrebnadzor.

Popova added that in the Russian Federation, almost 40 million adults are "fully vaccinated against coronavirus": "We need to have more of them.

We must be in time before the ascent that we are talking about. "

In turn, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development Anastasia Rakova said that an increase in the incidence of coronavirus has been recorded in the capital in recent days.

So, relative to last week, the number of cases increased by 24%, and the number of hospitalizations - by 15%.

“The reasons for this are clear not only to epidemiologists, but also from an everyday point of view.

The autumn season, characterized by an increase in the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections, as well as a sharp increase in the number of contacts associated with the massive return of citizens from vacations and dachas and the resumption of schoolwork, ”she explained.

According to her, a study by the Gamaleya Center has shown that the Delta strain is 100% dominant in Moscow.

“I would like to note that vaccination is a tool that helps to significantly reduce the risks of morbidity.

Among the vaccinated, the proportion of the sick is insignificant, they tolerate the disease much easier, and there are only few hospitalizations in this group, ”the deputy mayor added.
