In Germany, a man in his 40s, outraged at a gas station store employee's request to "wear a mask" to buy beer, shot and killed the employee.

At around 9:30 pm on the 18th, university student Alexander, who was working at the checkout counter of a gas station store in the Ida-Oberstein region of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, pointed out the 'duty to wear a mask' when customer Mario tried to pay for beer without wearing a mask.

Mario pulled out a pistol and shot Alexander in the head, and Alexander died on the spot.

Previously, Mario stopped at the gas station without a mask at around 7:50 p.m., 1 hour and 40 minutes before, and tried to pay for a beer, but Alexander refused because he was not wearing a mask.

Mario then returned home, packed his pistol and mask, and headed back to the gas station.

Mario, who picked up a beer while wearing a mask on the second visit, took it off again at the checkout counter, and Alexander again pointed out the 'duty to wear a mask'.

Mario later said in a police investigation that "the pandemic situation put a lot of pressure on me."

"I wanted to give direction, and the student at the checkout tried to follow the rules," said Mario. "He contributed to the whole situation." added, the police said.

In this regard, Germany's Divelt pointed out that the security authorities' concerns that a key minority of those who oppose the COVID-19 quarantine measures are radicalizing have become reality.

Mario said during the police investigation that he refused to take measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, but the background of the personal crime has not yet been revealed.

It is not yet known where the gun was obtained.
