The head of the Polish company, Pavel Majewski, said in a statement that Nord Stream 2 AG's "ITO model certification" application "shows that the Swiss company is still seeking regulatory privileges."

“In the certification process, we will strive to ensure that the owner of Nord Stream 2 cannot avoid the application of the requirements for division of ownership, third-party access and transparent tariffs that take into account the cost of the entire pipeline,” the company's press service quoted him as saying.

PGNiG also intends to prove that Nord Stream 2 AG "does not meet the form and substance of the requirements for the pipeline operator."

In particular, this concerns "the security of supplies and the corporate structure of the company," Mayevsky said.

The construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline was fully completed on the morning of September 10.

After that, the German Federal Grid Agency received documents for certification of the Nord Stream 2 enterprise as an independent gas transmission operator.

Nord Stream 2 AG said the pipeline will meet all conditions and technical standards.
