The French ambassadors to the United States and Australia were called home last week for consultations after Australia broke a deal to build French submarines.
Instead, the country entered into a submarine agreement and a security pact, "Aukus", with the United States and the United Kingdom.
Macron and Biden will have in-depth discussions to rebuild trust and will also meet in Europe at the end of October, according to a statement.
