Drug trafficking no longer takes place only on the streets.

Social networks have indeed become a playground for dealers.

On September 17, investigators from the anti-narcotics office (Ofast) arrested six people as part of trafficking organized from Snapchat in the municipalities of Colomiers, Tournefeuille and Plaisance, in the suburbs of the Pink City.

"An operation which follows previous arrests carried out within the framework of the same investigation in May", indicated the parquet floor of Toulouse.

And other arrests carried out during the summer.

During the searches, the investigators got their hands on a large sum of cash, narcotics but also police armbands, balaclavas, a flashing light, handcuffs or even handgun cases.

To sell herbal cannabis and cocaine to his customers, one of the respondents went through Snapchat and did not hesitate to advertise on this network.

One of his lieutenants kept the drugs at home and then had them delivered, via couriers.

Luxury car

“The organizer of this trafficking is known to the courts for having already been involved in drug trafficking on two occasions, in 2013 and in 2016. The accused used to travel in luxury vehicles, unrelated with the official income provided by his activity as a trader ”, specifies the Toulouse prosecutor's office.

The two main defendants were brought before an examining magistrate on Tuesday, indicted and placed in pre-trial detention.
