SVT is expanding its local journalism, where by 2023 we will be in 50 locations around the country.
The investment is made to reduce the number of white spots, ie areas that have weak journalistic coverage in terms of population, and Lund is editorial number 43.
White spots are usually associated with sparsely populated areas, but when we look at our coverage of Skåne, Lund stands out and this is what it often looks like.
Areas in and around big cities tend to end up in media shadow.
Increased reporting
Johanna Holstein and Linda Ekström are our reporters here and they will, in addition to Lund, cover Eslöv and Kävlinge.
In these three municipalities live just over 190,000 inhabitants and you who live here will see increased reporting from your local area on SVT Nyheter Skåne's site and in our broadcasts.
