From August 2020 to July this year, the municipality of Härjedalen had just over 1,350,000 guest nights.
That is just over 400,000 more than Åre municipality had during the same period and an increase of 17 percent during the year.
It shows statistics from Jämtland Härjedalen Turism.
Even if you break it down at destinations, Åre is no longer the largest.
Destination Vemdalen - including Klövsjö and Storhogna - had just over 810,000 guest nights.
Destination Åre and southern Årefjällen had 784,000 guest nights.
