“This initiative of the President of Ukraine - the Supreme Commander-in-Chief will provide an opportunity to implement important long-term programs in the field of defense,” Taran said on the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Facebook page.
He noted that Ukraine will receive the development of missile weapons, the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and new scientific and experimental design work in the field of high technologies.
According to him, the program of building corvette-class ships will continue in Ukraine.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during the YES Brainstorming forum, announced Ukraine's readiness to join NATO.
