  According to reports, Fraport Group’s three continental gateways in Greece (Thessaloniki, Akion, and Kavala) and 11 Greek islands (Crete’s Chania, Kefalonia) Islands, Kos, Mykonos, Lesvos, Rhodes, Samos, Santorini, Skiatos and Zakynthos) operate airport operations.

  From January to August, of the total number of passengers who landed at these 14 airports, about 8.16 million were international passengers (an increase of 127.1%), and about 2.33 million were domestic passengers (an increase of 20%).

Among them, the airport on Mykonos has the largest increase, with passenger traffic increasing by 167.1% to 769,891 passengers.

  However, despite the improvement in operating conditions compared with 2020, the passenger traffic of 14 airports still dropped significantly compared with the data for the same period in 2019 (21.7 million passengers from January to August).
