Few may know that there is a map for Uppsala where you can see where there is fruit to pick.

In public.

The map marks the fruit trees that stand on the municipality's land.

One of those who has been driven in the issue is Therez Almerfors (M).

In Uppsala, there are hundreds of trees owned by the municipality, such as cherries, plums, apples and pears.

She wants more people to dare to take away the common fruit.

- The idea is to inform about this so that there is no discussion about someone picking apples from the private sector, she says.

Link to the map can be found here.

The map

Should be an experience

Her goal is that it will be like an experience for families with children who can take walks through Uppsala and at the same time get lots of good fruit.

Have you been out picking any fruit in these places yourself?

- I myself have an apple tree on the plot that I pick from.

Because that's precisely why you do not know where to pick, I think that is why many stay away.
