Recently, the first three IS women were deported to Sweden from Kurdish autonomy in Syria and more are expected to be deported and come to Sweden during the autumn.

SVT has previously reported on how the IS women were released after questioning by NOA's war crime group, despite suspicions of serious crimes against them.

- These individuals have lived within the framework of a terrorist sect.

How hurt, confused or even crazy has this individual been from being in this IS environment for maybe six or seven years?

says PO Hellqvist, the police expert on violent extremism in Gothenburg.

Is critical of the reception

Today, there are no mandatory efforts for these women.

But PO Hellqvist proposes that it should be possible to detain people who have returned from IS and are suspected of such serious crimes as war crimes should and that it should then be possible to conduct a forensic psychiatric examination to ensure whether they can constitute a threat.

But Säpo meets them, right?

- I am completely convinced that Säpo handles its task.

But it is not Säpo's task to make a medical hazard assessment.

What could be the consequence?

- Yes, the worst thing is of course that a returning individual commits a violent crime.

Against ordinary innocent people in Swedish society, says PO Hellqvist.

Hear PO Hellqvist develop his reasoning about the returnees in the clip above.
