Russia is waiting for an explanation about cyber attacks from the United States during the elections to the State Duma

"During the current elections, the Central Election Commission is faced with an unprecedented number of cyber attacks," - said in a statement published on the Facebook page of the Russian embassy in the United States.

It is noted that 50% of them are registered from the territory of the United States.

The message emphasizes that the purpose of such attacks is to discredit the electoral system of Russia.

“I would like to receive comprehensive explanations from the American side on this matter,” the text says.

Earlier it was reported that Washington was attentive to reports of attacks on the electoral system of Russia from the United States and requested additional information from Moscow on this issue.
