NRJ announced Monday a "strategic and exclusive" partnership on podcasts with the American audio giant iHeartMedia, which will notably provide the French group with its entire catalog in the original version and 15 series in the French version.

"More than 400 episodes" translated into the language of Molière, from the world's leading podcast publisher, according to the Podtrac ranking, will be "hosted and broadcast by NRJ Group" (NRJ, Chérie FM, Rire & Chansons et Nostalgie, NRJ 12 , Chérie 25, NRJ Hits, NRJ play), he said in a press release.

The first are expected at the end of the year.

The French will thus be able to discover "Stuff You Should Know (Things that you should know)", a very popular podcast across the Atlantic, "the first" to "exceed one billion plays in the world", according to the press release, "as well. as other series on the theme of music, television series with +90210 (Beverly Hills) +, or even various facts ".

The agreement also provides for "a podcast co-production fund in French with the aim of promoting new talent".

Sport, humor, fiction, personal development ... the two groups are counting on "ten projects" each year, the first to be available at the beginning of 2022.

In addition, NRJ's media advertising agency, NRJ Global, will market "exclusively in France" the entire iHeartMedia catalog in its original version and its versions in French.

"This agreement allows us to significantly enrich our content offering for our audience in France, and to strengthen NRJ Global's positioning as the benchmark in audio", comments Cécile Chambaudrie, NRJ Group Managing Director in charge of business development and digital developments, cited in the press release.

IHeartMedia claims the status of "number one" in audio (radio, digital radios, podcasts ...) in the United States, "reaching more than 250 million listeners each month", according to the press release.
