Increased by 35 percent

In the most recent procurement, the bids were SEK 42,000 per square meter, which means a price increase of around 35 percent in just a few years.

- We can not rent this cost increase.

The next project we have to think about how we should handle this situation, says Mats Dahlberg, CEO of Kirunabostäder.

"Cost increase is not a good situation"

In addition to the housing company replacing housing within the framework of social transformation, the plan is to add more housing to the housing market.

- Now we are building 70 apartments, but we expect to build up to 200 more apartments, but the cost increase is not a good situation for Kiruna, says Mats Dahlberg.
