On Thursday, the Swedish Public Health Agency announced that children aged 12 to 15 will be offered vaccines.

Vaccination in the younger age group was to begin after the autumn holidays, but the Stockholm Region chooses to roll out the vaccination earlier.

From today, September 20, you can book an appointment for 12-15-year-olds.

Right now is the first time for vaccination on October 4, but it may be earlier, according to the Stockholm Region.

- If it turns out that we get the last administrative parts in place, it may be brought forward.

I expect it to be ready within a few days, but for safety's sake, the earliest times right now can be booked until October 4, says Magnus Thyberg, vaccine coordinator in the Stockholm Region.

On Monday, it was only possible to book an appointment via the app Always open or the telephone booking, but the region expects that the children will be able to be vaccinated at schools after the November holidays.
