- Gävlebocken can remain on Slottstorget, the place he has decorated every year since 1966. It will of course be a little more messy than usual around Gävlebocken due to the renovation, but he will be able to spread the Christmas spirit and joy at Slottstorget again this year, says Rebecca Steiner, Gävlebocken's spokesperson, in a press release.
Inauguration first Advent
With the announcement from the government and the Public Health Agency that restrictions will be lifted on 29 September, Gävle municipality has decided to carry out a physical inauguration this year.
Sunday will be the first Advent, which this year is November 28.

According to the municipality, it is already clear that Gävlebocken's location in 2022 will be affected.
