The old times lived on until last Thursday: At least in the form of the coat of arms on the Niddahalle, SG 1877 Nied still existed, although it was dissolved in the summer following the decision of the general meeting.

The club's own hall on Oeserstraße, which brought the largest sports club to date in the west of Frankfurt to the brink of ruin due to the immense maintenance costs, and the Nidda arena, but above all the numerous departments and 1700 members, have passed over to Eintracht. The largest sports club in the city, which now has a good 93,000 members, is also present in the west of the city, where Eintracht was previously only rarely represented.

What was once SG Nied now operates as the West location of Frankfurt Eintracht. The sight of the new coat of arms is more beautiful than in the not-so-fancy club German. So finally the eagle is also flying in the west of the city, after craftsmen have removed the SG Nied coat of arms, which is illuminated from the inside with the help of a lifting platform. The emblem can now at least hope for a museum future in the Museum of Frankfurter Eintracht at the Waldstadion.
