After Tan Yanwen graduated with a PhD in the United States 11 years ago, he and her husband chose to come to Shanghai to embark on an unknown journey.
She said that this decision has largely crossed her comfort zone, but Shanghai is like her birthplace Taipei, New York where she studies, this kind of metropolitan environment makes her yearning.
Tan Yanwen, currently teaching in the Physics Department of Fudan University, enjoys life in Shanghai very much.
