The expert allowed the import of the strain of the coronavirus "mu" to Russia

According to him, last week there was information that the first cases of infection with this strain were detected in the countries of Asia and Europe.

“This means that the expansion is on the planet, and it means that there are already patients in Russia who have the mu coronavirus,” Isaev’s statement quoted by TASS.

The specialist noted that at the moment it is impossible to determine how the “incidence of the mu coronavirus” will develop.

At the end of August, the World Health Organization (WHO) added the B.1.621 strain of coronavirus, identified in January in Colombia, named with the Greek letter "mu", to its monitoring list as "an option of interest."
