The Washington Post and New York Times reported that a criminal game of stealing or destroying school toilet items among American teenage students is spreading through social media TikTok.

The crime game that is spreading with the hashtag 'devious licks' began earlier this month when an American TikTok user posted a video.

It was a video bragging about after stealing a box of disposable masks from school, and it has been viewed more than 230,000 times.

A few days later, a video of the theft of hand sanitizer from the school was uploaded, and the video was viewed 7.2 million times.

Since then, 'evil theft' has spread like a pandemic to schools across the United States.

Plastic spoons, toilet paper, mirrors, lighting fixtures, and even hundreds of dollar projects have been the subject of criminal play.

Criminal play led to theft and then vandalism to school furniture and property.

There have also been incidents of breaking toilets, partitions, and sinks, or breaking mirrors, and turning the toilet into a sea of water by blocking the toilet.

While notifying parents of this fact, the schools began to block criminal play by suspending, expulsion, and even criminal charges in severe cases.

TikTok also deleted all videos with the hashtag 'Evil Theft'.

However, the crime game, which changed the hashtag slightly, still continues, and other social media such as Twitter are used, US media reported.

The New York Times, citing experts, diagnosed criminal play as a sign of confusion among teenagers due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
