It turns out that a famous American obstetrician-gynecologist has been treating infertility and infertile women for decades, using his sperm without the knowledge of his patients.

On the 14th local time, foreign media such as the New York Post reported that Dr. Maurice Wortzman, who specializes in infertility and infertility treatment, was accused of fraud and medical malpractice.

The person who sued the doctor was Morgan Helquist, the daughter of a patient who had been treated for infertility by Dr.

According to the complaint, Helquist's mother received infertility treatment from Dr. Wortzman for one year from 1983, and used sperm donated by a local university student from Northern Europe for pregnancy. After successful pregnancy, Helquist's mother gave birth to a daughter, Mr. Helquist, in 1985. By the age of eight, Helquist learned that he had been born from donated sperm, but did not know about his biological father until adulthood.

However, in 2016, Helquist found out that he had the Ashkenazi gene, an Eastern European Jew, on an internet site that traces genealogy through genetic test strips. And after several years of additional testing, it was also revealed that he had six half-brothers.

Helquist suspected Dr. Wortzman as the biological father. Because Dr. Wortzman was an Ashkenazi Jew. In the end, Mr. Helquist visited one of his half-brothers and Dr. Wortzman's biological daughter and conducted a genetic test, and confirmed that the genes of the three were identical.

In a complaint, Helquist claimed that "Wortzman impregnated patients through his sperm without obtaining their consent. Nine children (including Wortzman's children) were born this way."

"It was shocking to me that my biological father had also impregnated other women without their consent," he said.

Helquist also emphasized the fact that when she was treated by Dr. Wortzman for an obstetrics and gynecological disease, she continued treatment with physical contact even though she knew she was the real daughter, saying, "I suffered similar to the pain experienced by victims of incest." He even confessed.

The problem, however, is that the statute of limitations for the case has expired.

A local prosecution official said, "It seems that a lawsuit will not be possible because it has already been too long."

Dr. Wortzman has not commented on the matter.
