Gottesfeld, who was jailed for ten years in the United States two years ago for hacking a computer at Boston Children's Hospital, said he carried out a cyberattack to draw public attention to the story and thereby help Pelletier.
As he noted RT, he would repeat his act if he found himself in such a situation again.
“If I were once again in such a situation, I would have done the same.
What happened to it should not happen in our country, ”he said.
According to him, the authorities have no right to punish him for trying to help the girl.
“This is inhuman and completely unacceptable.
No [US] citizen should be in the position that I am in and make the decisions that I had to make.
So that later you will be criticized retroactively by a gang of crooks hired by those who tortured the little girl.
I can only imagine what our founding fathers would say about all this, ”the activist added.
Teenage girl Justin Pelletier was admitted to Boston Children's Hospital due to health problems.
Subsequently, she was forcibly taken away from her parents and deprived of the necessary treatment, claiming that she had a mental illness.
