Return to the country on Saturday September 18 for four figures of the National Front for the Defense of the Constitution (FNDC).

These fierce opponents of constitutional reform and the candidacy for a third term of Alpha Condé had to flee abroad.

Almost two weeks after the coup, Ibrahima Diallo, Sékou Koundouno, rapper Djani Alfa and blogger Fodé Sanikayi Kouyaté were greeted as heroes by a huge crowd in Conakry.

With our special correspondent in Conakry,

On his red t-shirt, the color of the FNDC, appears the photo of

Ibrahima Diallo

, responsible for the movement's operations. Mamadou Oury Diallo is his little brother. “

We are delighted with his return. By the time he left, his wife was pregnant. He hadn't even had time to see his child. Today, he will be reunited with his whole family. We're happy,

 ”he says.

The procession struggled to make its way to the Bambeto cemetery, for a tribute to the victims of the demonstrations against a third term of

Alpha Condé

. In the crowd, a man greets the returning opponents: “

These are people who fought despite all the risks. I remember that one day we were in the neighborhood: soldiers had come down to Ibrahima Diallo's yard! It shocked me, really. They have resisted anything to defend the truth. They did have courage.

 "

It is a relief for Boubacar Sidy Diallo, Guinean flag on his shoulders.

But for this protester, we must remain cautious: “

I hope we will continue the fight because the fight is not over.

All members of the FNDC and all the people of Guinea must be vigilant.

We will observe what will happen.

We cheered

Colonel Doumbouya

, we're proud but that doesn't mean it's over.

 "

The FNDC will be there as the sentinel of democracy

", assured Ibrahima Diallo, adding: "

We want to support a process of democratic transition which will lead to credible and transparent elections.

 "
