"On Wednesday, September 22, Biden will convene a virtual coronavirus summit," White House spokesman Jen Psaki said in a statement.
It will take place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
It is noted that this meeting will be dedicated to expanding and strengthening universal efforts to defeat the new coronavirus infection.
Earlier it was reported that an international summit on the fight against the pandemic and on global vaccination under the auspices of the United States is scheduled for September 22.
