They noted that the geographic and local history expedition across the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Tomsk Region started on September 1, with a total of nine people in its composition.

“The Russian Geographical Society did not organize this expedition, but it includes two members of the Russian Geographical Society - the head of the expedition, Alexei Gaponov, and the operator Konstantin Ivaschenko, who is filming a documentary,” the message says.

Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the last time the group got in touch was on 11 September.

A search operation is underway.
